FREEBORN, Minn. (WCCO) – Police are investigating the death of a 64-year-old woman who went missing and was then found in Freeborn Lake on Monday morning.
According to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, officers were first notified of the woman’s disappearance after a vehicle was reported empty at Arrowhead Park.
Investigators tried to contact the vehicle’s owner but were informed that the person owning the vehicle hadn’t been seen since the prior evening.
Police searched the park and eventually found a woman’s body in Freeborn Lake.
Investigators said that there were no obvious signs of foul play. State medical examiners will work to determine the cause of death.
